Once a week: 5 things worth your time.
1 story, 1 idea, 1 discovery, 1 tool, 1 book.
Rate each city from 0 to 10 on three criteria and compare the result.
City A
7.0
City B
7.0
The ratings are your own subjective or researched assessment — the tool just calculates the average, it doesn't validate the numbers.
Compare two cities for remote work using three criteria that matter a lot to digital nomads: internet quality, safety and affordable cost of living. It suits anyone torn between two destinations who wants to turn scattered impressions and research into a simple 0 to 10 score for each city.
For each city you give a 0 to 10 rating for internet, safety and affordability using sliders, and you can name the cities. The tool computes the simple average of each city's three ratings, with no different weights, and shows both scores side by side, highlighting the higher one. A high affordability rating means the city is cheaper, so higher is always better.
City A gets internet 8, safety 6 and affordability 5, which sums to 19, an average of 6.3. City B gets internet 6, safety 8 and affordability 7, summing to 21, an average of 7.0. City B comes out ahead by 0.7 points despite weaker internet.
The tool only averages the ratings you give and does not check whether they reflect reality, and all criteria weigh the same. It ignores climate, visas, time zone, community and other important factors. Use it as support, not as the final decision.
