A starting-point split, not a fixed rule — adjust based on what you already own.
The furniture budget planner splits the total amount you have to furnish a space across five categories: seating, tables, storage, bedding and decor. It suits anyone setting up a home, moving into an empty place or refreshing a room who needs a starting point for prioritizing purchases.
You enter the total furniture budget. The tool distributes that amount in fixed proportions: seating 30%, tables 20%, storage 20%, bedding 15% and decor 15%. The result shows how much to set aside for each category. The proportions add up to 100%, so nothing is left out or counted twice. You can use the amounts as a spending ceiling for each category while you compare prices in stores.
With a budget of 10,000: seating 30% = 3,000, tables 20% = 2,000, storage 20% = 2,000, bedding 15% = 1,500 and decor 15% = 1,500. The sum closes at 10,000. If sleeping well is your priority, you can trim decor a little and strengthen the bedding line.
The proportions are a fixed suggestion and do not consider room size, lifestyle or what you already own. Adjust the amounts to your priorities. It is a planning starting point, not a final budget.
